COX POP and POP3 Email Server Settings

If you have been working with client email applications for a while you are familiar with the term POP. POP has been around for over 20 years and was essentially meant to download all emails from a remote server. With POP, you can download emails for local storage enabling you to access your email without an Internet connection.

What is the difference between POP and IMAP? POP emails from the online server to a local storage location. IMAP on the other hand, temporarily stores emails locally while leaving the source file online. Thus, IMAP is a form of cloud storage while POP is not.

What are the COX POP and POP3 Email Server Settings.

If you do not want to use cox high speed internet webmail but access your email locally you need to use the COX Server names (incoming) and (outgoing). The port settings can be found in the below presented screenshot.
